Commonly asked questions about refinishing your surface
Still wondering if my services are the right choice for you? Check out the answers to some of my clients’ most common questions below. If there’s something I’ve missed, just get in touch and I’ll do my best to help you.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO DRY/CURE?
It takes a full 72 hours-3 days for Kott Koatings KV-40 Glaze to fully cure. Some customers schedule work well in advance to accommodate unique circumstances. (Have the work done the day before a vacation, etc.)
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE?
My father, Chuck, started Carefree Koatings in 1989 before I was born! He had to fly to Kott Koatings in California for training. This is the only job my father had my entire life. I grew up around refinishing every day. In 2014, I began to work side-by-side with my father for the next 2 years. I then flew to California for Kott Koatings formal training. I have since been on my own. I have my Father I can call at a moment's notice with his 30 years experience, as well as Kott Koatings with their 65+ years in the biz. We've seen it all!
WHAT DOES THE WARRANTY COVER?
I will warranty against fading, crazing, or flaking. This warranty will not apply to customer damage, abuse, or neglect. Warranty will not cover faulty plumbing fixtures or use of unit prior to natural curing time (72 Hours). There is no warranty on individual chip repair, rusting, or the use of suction cup bath mats or other suction appliances. If needed, use non-skid appliques or have a "safety-tred" surface applied to floor of unit. Soap should be placed in proper receptacles. Clean bathtub after each use and rinse thoroughly to eliminate soap build-up. Please contact the TubGuy with damage concerns immediately, otherwise fees may be imposed.
